Thinking about switching your dog to a raw diet? A direct transition works for over 97% of dogs, making it the recommended approach. Whether your dog is 8 weeks old or 14 years, transitioning to a species-appropriate diet can bring significant health benefits.

Please note, Dalmatians with High Uric Acid (HUA) have unique dietary needs due to their genetic makeup, so they should have meats that are low in purine, such as: Chicken, Turkey, Pork and Lamb.

The first thing you want to do is weigh your dog, if you do not know their weight already (You can weigh them in store, if you are local to us). Then you want to check out our feeding graph to see how much their daily allowance is, and for puppies they have 3 meals a day and after that it is 2 meals a day, morning and evening.

We recommend 100% single-species option for the first 4 weeks, then once they have seen to that then they can go onto the other species and organs. This means the meat they should start with is either the plain chicken, chicken with veg, plain turkey or turkey with veg. Then once they have got used to these meats after 4 weeks, then they can go onto our minces and add the supplements we have on offer to their diet.
